16bit are an electronic music act from London, UK, consisting of Eddie Jefferys and Jason Morrison.[1] They are signed to Chase & Status' MTA Records.[2]

Biography

16bit are electronic music artists best known for producing dubstep. 16bit's debut release, in 2009, was "In The Death Car EP" which featured the track "Chainsaw Calligraphy" recognised for its innovative qualities at the time.[3]

14 of 16bit's songs were used as the soundtrack for the iPhone and WiiWare video game Lilt Line.[4]

They have produced Björk's first single off her 2011 album 'Biophillia', among other tracks.[1] British rapper Professor Green announced via Twitter that 16bit are producing his single "At Your Inconvenience".[5] Their remix of Noisia's Machine Gun was used in a trailer and various TV Spots for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.[6]

16bit won 'Best Mix' at the 2010 DubstepForum Awards for their 'Milky Pie Mix' and came 2nd top in the Best Producer category.[7]

They have stated that they're working on their debut album for a 2012 release.[1]
