1122 Neith is a main belt asteroid, approximately 12 km in diameter, orbiting the Sun. It was discovered by Eugène Joseph Delporte on September 17, 1928 at Uccle. Its provisional designation was 1928 SB. It was named for the Egyptian goddess of Libyan origin, Neith, goddess of the hunt and of war, believed to be the mother of the Sun.[1][2]
