The name post is a sponsored top-level domain name (sTLD) for the Domain Name System of the Internet. It is intended to be restricted to the use of national and regional postal services[1] and private businesses that provide similar services. It is sponsored by the Universal Postal Union, an international organization based in Bern, Switzerland. The original time frame for approval and implementation was 2005,[2] but ICANN did not enter into a sponsor agreement until the Fall of 2009.[3][4]
