A businessperson (also businessman or businesswoman) is employed at usually a profit-oriented enterprise, or more specifically, someone who is involved in the management (at any level) of a company, or even an entrepreneur. The term businessperson almost always refers to someone with a "white collar" occupation.
For male businesspeople, formal standard business attire consists of a suit with collar shirt and necktie. Variations of dress do occur depending on local business culture and climate. For example, in the high-tech industry, business casual is appropriate to wear and neckties are frequently not worn. Female attire has undergone many changes; dresses and suits are normal today, even though business casual is common among the high-tech industry.
