Danube

The second longest river in Europe. It is the only major European river to flow from west to east. It rises in the Black Forest in Germany and flows in a east for a distance of about 2850 km (1770 mi), to the Black Sea in Romania.

The river flows through the following large cities:

• Bratislava - Slovakia

• Budapest - Hungary

• Belgrade - Yugoslavia
