Talk:Zwiki

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page had been deleted as per: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=delete&user=&page=Zwiki

I've recreated the page, starting from the content found on the wayback machine. The reason for deletion had been given as:

  • G11 - advertising
  • A7 - does not assert notability

I've rephrased whatever IMHO could have been taken for "advertising" in the article text.

As for the notability, I'd say that an open source project that powers lots of University', Company's and Open Source project's documentation wiki's around the world has some notability. There have been a couple of articles written about Zwiki - we're going to add references to these as we digg them up. In case the "no notability" argument still holds true, would you mind deleting the articles on all the other wiki engines on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_wiki_software too? -- betabug

Great work guys, thank you. I see their point, the page does even now read more like a product blurb than a timeless encyclopaedia article, so I think it can evolve more. I think Zwiki is notable enough, but why exactly ? We just have to figure that out and put more focus on that. Probably it's better if I don't edit the article too much myself. Going to look at other wiki engine articles. SimonMichael 17:15, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
