Zvart Sarkissian is a Palestinian Armenian pianist (born in Egypt and spent life in Jerusalem) and the last surviving students of Marguerite Long. Ms. Sarkissian has graduated, among many other pianists, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Waleed Howrani, Maria da Penha, and Willem Ibes. Zvart Sarkissian lives now in Beirut, Lebanon. She has 17 pupils of ages ranging form 5 to 40. Ms. Sarkissian's students hold an annual audition every year at the Assembly Hall, the chapel of the American University of Beirut. Her students also hold concerts where all people are welcome.zvart went to German school in Jerusalem, and learned English, French, and German. She is about 70 years old.
