I just wanted to add Zurn on here because you have other companies, like Kodak, etc. I didn't see anything wrong with that. Zurn is over a century old and is a reputable plumbing manufacturer. If you people want to exclude Zurn, fine. But if you do you have also destroyed my faith in Wikipedia, which I have promoted and shared with anyone who would listen to me.

If you have a problem with Zurn, why do you still have other companies listed on your site? Isn't that a little crooked to allow some and not others? I do not work for Zurn, but I do know of them quite a bit through my business here in Florida. My intent was merely to provide an informational article on the company. Why is this being done? Do you not have links to a company's website on other articles? I can list a few if you'd like.

I'm sorry but I just don't see how this is fair or right.

[edit] More information needed!

There's precious little information about Zurn as a corporation that I can find on the web, so this article is pretty severly anemic at this point. Stuff that would be good to have:

  • Names of members of the board of directors
  • What type of governance Zurn has, what type of corporation it is
  • Whether it's just a brand name or is a wholly owned subsidary of Jacuzzi
  • What products Zurn has manufactured, past and present (just the important ones)
  • Reference to the 'patented valve' mentioned
  • Where their corporate offices are located
  • What their products are used for; who their main customers are

There's lots of ways this article can be fleshed out, but I don't have the contacts. JKough, can you get any more information? --Stephen Deken 19:51, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

I found Zurn's entry in the Pennsylvania Department of State's records on their website [1], but the record is unfortunately very sparse -- it does not even contain an initial incorporation date. I've also not been able to find the patent file in the USPTO for the backwater valve that Zurn originally manufactured. --Stephen Deken 20:26, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
