If someone is suggesting that using material from a press release is a copyright violation, I am rather (shall we say) surprised! Opera houses issue press releases in order to publicize something. They want the press to use the material! I am sure Zurich would be delighted if this article is developed!

  • The entire history of the opera house is published on the web site above the "signature", "Press Office 2005".

My adaptation of that material as the basis for an extended article was removed with a copyright violation notice laced there instead. Vivaverdi 16:27, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Separation of opera company and opera house articles

I've removed almost all the material about the house from the Zurich Opera page. Most of it duplicated the info here, but I've incorporated the bit that didn't. However, the ZO (or rather OZ) page said "The house seats 1,238 people". That's not what it says here. Which is right? --GuillaumeTell 21:05, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
