Zungaropsis multimaculatus is a species of catfish (order Siluriformes) of the family Pimelodidae. It is the only species in the monotypic genus Zungaropsis, a genus considered to be closely related to Zungaro.[1] In 2003, Zungaropsis was considered as a genus inquirendum of the Pimelodidae.[2] This species was originally found in the Xingu River.[1]
