Zuckerkandl's fascia

Zuckerkandl's fascia or fascia retrorenalis is a fibrous sheath covering the posterior side of the kidney. It constitutes the posterior layer of the renal fascia and was discovered by Emil Zuckerkandl in 1883.[1].
