Zubair Popalzai is an Afghan Political science from Kandahar province of Afghanistan. He has degrees in Political Science and International Relations from Asian and European universities.
His work has thematically centered on post-conflict state formation, democratic governance and market-oriented politics with particular reference to Afghanistan. He has has worked for the Government of Afghanistan and the United Nations on these as well as issues of aid coordination.
His articles on aid effectiveness, state-building, economic and political development and democratic governance are published in the Frontier Post, Dawn and other newspapers and academic journals.
Zubair Popalzai is a co-editor of a book on women's rights in Afghanistan. He has also co-authored another book on Afghanistan after the Bonn Agreement under review at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies in India.
