[edit] GemBox Software and ExcelLite
I've nominated these two articles to be deleted, since the company in question does not seem to reach the bar for notability which would be required for these to feature as encyclopedia articles. If you think otherwise, you should vote to keep the pages on the VfD pages, but first please read Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations). Richard W.M. Jones 21:38, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- First, thanks for feedback. I am using wikipedia for a long time but started editing articles just few months ago so I am still not familiar with all rules and practices. I added articles because I noticed SpreadsheetGear for .NET which is also a similar kind of article. However, that article is still there and is not nominated for deletion. Am I missing something here? Zsvedic 13:48, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

- Welcome to Wikipedia, we're glad that you've started editing, and don't be put off by my cranky VfDs :-) I can't tell you whether these articles should be deleted. I think the company is clearly not notable, but there is an argument to keep ExcelLite, in the same way that SpreadsheetGear for .NET seems non-controversial (so far). Wikipedia kind of works on a consensus of policy, decided by voting. If you think that one or both should be kept, then it's important to go and vote that way on their VfD pages, giving your reasons of course. Richard W.M. Jones 15:55, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
