Zsolt Laczko (born December 18, 1986 in Szeged, Hungary) is a Hungarian football player currently playing for Olympiacos.

[edit] Career

He was a free agent and joined Olympiacos's pre-season training. Laczko was given a trial period in which he played in two friendlies - one of which he scored in - and impressed Olympiacos coach Takis Lemonis enough to be rewarded with a contract with the club. On 25 July 2007, he signed a 4 year deal with the Greek champions, but was subsequently loaned out to fellow Super League side Levadiakos shortly after signing.

On 17 December 2007, Laczko joined Championship side Leicester City on trial,[1] and he was signed on loan on 4 January 2008 for the remainder of the season with Leicester having the option to buy the player for a predetermined fee.[2] Both he and fellow Hungarian Bori Gábor are already desperate to earn permanent deals to stay at the club.[3]

Laczko made his league debut in an M69 Derby on January 12, receiving a standing ovation from the home fans when substituted as Leicester won 2-0.[4] He made his first assist against Norwich City on 16th February, setting up Stephen Clemence's goal as Leicester won 4-0.[5] Leicester were relegated to League One at the end of the season, with manager Ian Holloway deciding not to take up the option of signing Laczko on a permanent basis.
