some suggestions, normal size, how far a single plant spreads, flowering(seed). is it classed as a weed anywhere Gnangarra 09:30, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Good questions, weediness in general is mentioned, "it can become weedy, like many plant species with desirable horticultural characteristics," and it is a PIER species of concern for weediness in some areas. With plants known for "spreading vigorously by stolons, or occasionally by rhizomes, once established," how far a single plant spreads is a function of time, nutrient availability and space availability. I'm not overly interested in ornamental grasses, so I'll leave the flowering up to someone else, as this is just an article to include the most basic information about the plant. I encourage you to look this information up and add it, as this is a very common horticularal plant, and the flowering is well-studied. KP Botany 17:51, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Looks good. The page needs some dimensions of the plant (how many cm tall? leaves how many mm wide?, etc - I'll try to find time to look up some info). Also, as the species is an Australian/southeast Asian native, it should use Australian English or Commonwealth English spellings as per the MOS guidelines on national varieties of English. - MPF 01:42, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
My English is already poorly enough adulterated with spatterings of 19th century Empire English from my research work that I generally fail at keeping a consistent dialect throughout, much less using a dialect other than my own. If someone wants to change it, that's fine, but I can't realistically do it and the technical part of the article. The article is about a rather important little tropical lawn grass, it turns out. I'm just running through the list of missing plant articles and adding ones I can write up using scientific research and the books I already have, and that have a lot of hits on the Internet, but no information on Wikipedia. Please feel free to add information about size and the like, as this information is available, but I'm not comfortable with any of the sources, and my grass phylogeny text doesn't have the details. Thanks for the feedback. KP Botany 00:06, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
