Zou Run (邹润) is a character in the epic Chinese tale, the Water Margin.
Zou Run was the nephew of Zou Yuan, and his age was quite close to his uncle's. He was born tall and big-sized, had a weird appearance, and a large growth at the back of his head, thus earning him the nickname 'One-horned dragon' (独角龙). Once, he got into a quarrel and knocked his head against a tree in anger, bending the tree trunk, which stunned everyone.
Zou Run also led a wandering life like his uncle and he joined his uncle on Dengyun Mountain, where they gathered a bandit army to rob the rich to feed the poor, and they became famous throughout Shandong. Later, the Xie brothers(Xie Zhen and Xie Bao) were framed and thrown into prison. Sun Xin sought help from them to rescue the Xie brothers. In the end, with their combined efforts, they raided the prison and rescued the Xie brothers, then fled to Liangshan for refuge. At the same time, the Liangshan heroes were locked in a stalemate with the Zhu Family Village in a war. Sun Li volunteered to act as a conspirator from within to aid the Liangshan heroes in conquering the Zhu Family Village and Zou Run and Zou Yuan went with him. In the end, they made a great contribution in helping the Liangshan heroes conquer the Zhu Family Village.
Zou Run became one of the leaders of the Liangshan infantry and 72 Earthly Fiends, and he followed the heroes on their campaigns against the Liao Tartars and southern rebels after they had obtained amnesty from the emperor. He was one of the few lucky survivors after the campaigns, but his uncle (Zou Yuan) perished in the Fang La campaign. He refused an official post despite his contributions and went back to Dengyun Mountain.
