[edit] Finger trouble at "New Stadium" section of MK Dons
Thanks for fixing my finger trouble. You'll see that I've modified it again, to use the "<ref>...</ref>" as is now preferred (see "Wiki markup" at the bottom of the edit box). I doubt that the MK Dons article will ever make featured article, but all the FAs and FACs use this technique now to cite their sources. --Concrete Cowboy 16:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
No probs Concrete Cowboy. I'm still fairly new to all this Wikipedia stuff and so I'm not all that sure about the way the code, markups and tags and stuff work. I noticed that the url was just floating with some lost tags either side so I tidied it up a bit. Between you and me we can keep this article up to scratch! Zorro77 10:50, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- It has seemed a one-man battle at times, so it is good to have somebody who is on top of it like you are. By the way, if you want to reply to somebody, it is usual to reply on their talk page rather than your own. If you want to ask me anything, leave me a note. I'm no expert but when I've noticed clever things on other articles, I look to see how they did it. I haven't written a template yet, though! --Concrete Cowboy 17:00, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Denbigh stadium ariel july 06.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:Denbigh stadium ariel july 06.jpeg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:07, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Which means that you can only use if the person who took it gives it to you for anyone to use or copy anywhere, according to the GFDL licence. --Concrete Cowboy 00:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well it got deleted. You need to take a pic yourself unless you can persuade the owner of MKDONSЯUS to upload to http://commons.wikimedia.org under GDFL licence. --Concrete Cowboy 00:25, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pete Winkelman
Could you add Pete Winkelman to your watch list. When I found it, it was a travesty so it needs keeping an eye on. --Concrete Cowboy 23:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Denbigh Stadium
Thanks for your message. I was lucky enough to have a tour of the stadium yesterday when I was able to take those shots myself. Unfortunately I couldn't get an overhead shot as a planned helicopter ride was cancelled due to the weather :(. think an overhead view is worthy - probably with a caption saying when it was taken, and it seems as if you already know enough about licensing... [edit] Stuart Murdoch
Thanks, hadn't spotted that one. I've done a rewrite, feel free to improve. --Concrete Cowboy 12:35, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello Zorro77, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Mk dons.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Zorro77/Userboxes/Milton Keynes Dons. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 13:40, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

- You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Buckinghamshire. We extended the scope of the project to get more people interested but a Milton Keynes specific task force is definitely on the cards. SeveroTC 21:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Author of two CC-BY-SA-2.5 photos?
Hello, friend. I'd like to ask you about two pictures, which you have uploaded locally under the CC-BY-SA-2.5 license, Image:Denbigh stadium east stand 16 May 07.JPG and Image:Denbigh south stand 16 may 07.JPG. I'm asking on the behalf of a colleague of mine on the Bulgarian wikipedia, who is contributing to the related articles and is eager to use the pictures. The problem is, that, this license requires attribution, but as far as I see, information about the author has not been provided. Erh, are we sure whether the license is chosen correctly?
In case everything is okay and you can provide this information, can you please directly upload the photos on Commons, so that they become accessible to all sister projects and language versions of Wikipedia. If not, just an answer here about the author/source will be okay and I will do the job of upload on Commons instead of you. Thank you in advance! Regards, Spiritia 19:40, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi again, I'm not sure what is the custom of answering in the English Wikipedia (on the Bulgarian the dialogue continues there where it has started)... anyway, you've got a detailed answer on my talk page, feel free to continue there. --Spiritia 20:40, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Stadium:MK hotel?
One of the two local papers was speculating that the M&S store would be instead of the hotel (and on the hotel site), that InterMK had not managed to interest one of hotel chains to invest (you really would have to be mad about football to stay there!) I definitely got the impression that they were speculating though so if you want to reinstate it as certainly being in the orignal plan, I don't have a problem with that. --John Maynard Friedman 16:45, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Selex logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Selex logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:06, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Selex logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Selex logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright challenge to Image:Denbigh_stadium_aerial_july_06.jpeg
See talk:Stadium:mk#Copyright violation : Image:Denbigh_stadium_aerial_july_06.jpeg. I've deleted it pending your arguments for the defence there. I'm afraid the policy statement says that, on issues of copyright, we are guilty until proven innocent. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 17:04, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
