[edit] July 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to ATC-2K. Advertising, and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox", is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. — Coren (talk) 04:13, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ATC-2K

It is almost certain that you cannot. In order for articles to appear on Wikipedia, their topic must meet notability guidelines which a new product is unlikely to.

In addition, the text of the article actually read like advertisement copy, so even if the camera was notable the article would also probably have been deleted.

You might want to read the helpful tips and guidelines I've posted above. They will give you a good idea about what is appropriate on Wikipedia and how to go about contributing.

Happy editing! — Coren (talk) 04:23, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

That new version does indeed not read like an ad anymore, but you need to find references to support its notability. I'm not going to tag it for speedy deletion just yet, but I'm going to add a {{prod}} tag. You need to make certain the article explains why that camera is notable. — Coren (talk) 04:10, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ATC-2K

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article ATC-2K, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. — Coren (talk) 04:11, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello again. I'm sorry, but removing the templates and adding in price information(!) has again crossed the line into spam. Please remember that Wikipedia is not a proper venue for promoting products or services, even if you're just a satisfied customer. I've requested speedy deletion for the article as blatant advertisement. Please don't add it again unless you can write it such that it no longer reads like an ad. — Coren (talk) 07:24, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
