Originally listed for speedy deletion however it does not meet the criteria. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 11:59, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Substub with virtually no information linked from another trivia page on the same subject. In fact I just merged the content there, see Adam Park. I know know that Adam gained new powers of the Frog, the Frog Ninjazord (a Zord is a machine that helps the Power Rangers defeat their enemies), and became the Black Ninja. Now I will go and see if I gain powers of the Gerbil with the Gerbil Karatezong, a machine which helps Wikipedia Users defeat Fancruft. --Ianb 13:22, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: It's a substub that's just barely enough to stay off speedy delete. Go gerbil! Geogre 14:00, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Good grief. It makes me feel old to think that persons who watched the Power Rangers are now old enough to edit Wikipedia. Delete Lacrimosus 09:05, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Power Rangers. Davodd 16:22, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect, it might keep it from getting recreated. -- Cyrius| 05:14, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Power Rangers. Nothing to merge. Gwalla | Talk 06:21, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Fictional Zords

I have deleted this section on two grounds:

  1. All the Zords are fictional.
  2. It only contained a reference to "Angie Yazdani's spoof of MMPR, caled Strong Transformin Irken Rangers". As of April 13, 2005 this was still a work in progress [1]. As unpublished fan fiction this is not encyclopedic.

[edit] Zeo Zords

Does anyone know whether the Zeo Zord 1 actually represents a Maoi, as recent edits claim? My knowledge of that series is limited, but I understood that it was a generic cannon. -- Supermorff

In the Sentai it might have, but this was never in PR canon proper.

Since that was what I'd suspected in the first place, I am going to change the article to remove the Moai information. Anyone, please feel free to revert this if you can provide evidence that Zeo Zord 1 was indeed a Moai in Power Rangers canon. -- Supermorff

[edit] Getting long now

This article has now exceeded 30kb, and as such is due for trimming (someone should probably remove the 'request for expansion' too). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this article should be divided up? Some series of Power Rangers have more than enough information about Zords to be split of as their own articles, but others do not (and some, such as the Astro Megaship section, truly belong to multiple series). One option would be to merely split these articles off (I would suggest, at the least, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers zords and the zords from Power Rangers: Wild Force). Another option would be to divide the article cleanly, for example moving the second half of the article (from Power Rangers: In Space onwards to a seperate article entirely, as a continuation of this article. What do other editors think about these ideas? Supermorff 23:13, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think this should be a simple page explaining the concepts of Zords, and move each series to their own page, with anything which doesn't fit on any of these pages staying here. Anyone agree? -- MiChaos 22:02, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC).

Yeah, fair enough. As a sort of sample, I've shifted all the information about zords in Wild Force to the new Wild zord article. Could people have a look, see if they like what I've done. Then we can decide if we want to port more sections out like that. -- Supermorff 19:31, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Gotta say I love how many people are willing to comment on Power Rangers discussion pages. The article is now even longer, and I am about to start moving them into seperate articles. If someone with knowledge of Wiki summary form would like to help, that would be much appreciated. -- Supermorff 10:37, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

Is there any more room enough to fit in at least several zord pictures? Nathen

[edit] Category

Since we've split this article off into, uh, several different articles, I think it might be appropriate to have a "Zords" category (a subcategory of [[Category: Power Rangers]]). It's just a thought. While we're at it, we could have a "Power Rangers series" category, but I have no idea where to suggest that. I really should figure out how to make categories. Also, I've removed the expansion template from this page, cos it's just obsolete now. -- Supermorff 15:21, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

Never mind, I figured it out. -- Supermorff 13:23, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I have put the merger tag on this page and Zords in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. These articles cover exactly the same subject. If a zord can only be from the series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, then the content should be brought together and put under the page title Zord, as per Wiki naming conventions. I feel that Zord, in this case is precise enough (not ambiguous), and the singular noun should always be preferred in naming. (see Wikipedia:Naming conventions) Madeinsane 17:25, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

No, I see the point now. Sorry guys. I guess I just haven't watched enough Power Rangers. Madeinsane 17:31, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

This article does not contain any specific references to reliable sources. In one of his reversion edit summary, User:Ryulong said that "everything else can be cited to the episodes or at best official toy sites" -- however, neither that nor two other articles I've put these flags on provide citations (e.g. links or even mention of) these specific episodes or websites.

User:Ryulong mentioned on his talk page that a Wikiproject "will work on" adding references -- emphasis added by me. I don't see a plausible basis to remove those tags that indicate references aren't yet here. These tags are there to help articles and inform editors that assistance may be useful. Why hurt the articles by removing them? --EEMeltonIV 19:05, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
