Zond 1964A

Zond 1964A was a Soviet lunar probe designed to flyby the Moon. It was meant to test technology for future Mars missions. It launched on June 4, 1964. The rocket failed, and Zond 1964A failed. This probe was the second in the Zond series, and the first to go to the Moon.
