[edit] References in matrix multiplication
Hello. I saw you added some references to our article on matrix multiplication and I wondered why you did this. Usually, the References section is for publications that are referred to in the article, or other works that were used in writing the article. However, the references you added seem to be random papers on matrix multiplication. The References section is not supposed to be an exhaustive bibliography of all papers on matrix multiplication (I guess there are quite a lot of them). -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 12:18, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. It does not make much sense to remove the references only to have them brought back later. So, they can remain for the moment. However, I may decide to move them out of sight later (say. in a month) if you're not quick enough :) -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 02:17, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

- Ok. I will do it asap. Zmoboros 07:49, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Johnson-Lindenstrauss lemma
A tag has been placed on Johnson-Lindenstrauss lemma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seinfreak37 19:59, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- The article has now been deleted (not by me). It is best to use your user space (or a file on your computer) for this kind of work in progress. You can move it to an article when there is at least some content. If requested, I (or another administrator) can retrieve the deleted article with the references and put it in your user space. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 02:17, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New Johnson-Lindenstrauss Lemma page
Greetings! I noticed that you made a page for the J-L lemma which was deleted. I recently became interested in the lemma and made a page devoted to it. Hopefully this one helps more with context and won't be deleted again. I'd love it if you could help improve the page. --Porffiry (talk) 23:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
