[edit] Meaning of "wikify"

"Wikify" means to change the text formatting, internal links, and layout of an article so that it follows the Wikipedia style guidelines and the guide to layout. Anyone can do it. Awyong J. M. Salleh 12:31, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 04:39, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination: Islamic Peace

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Islamic Peace meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Islamic Peace. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Matt57 (talkcontribs) 06:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Peace in Islamic Thought

I'm glad to hear that Islamic Peace is moving; it's good we could save this one. There is a technical matter about how to move it, however. Simply creating a new article with the new name isn't the preferred procedure. There is a move command, which would copy the article, along with its history and talk pages, to the new location. I would suggest nominating your new article Peace in Islamic Thought for speedy deletion (creators can nominate their own articles) and then move Islamic Peace to the new title. The "move" tab should be to the right of the history tab if you're logged in. To nominate Peace in Islamic Thought (not Islamic Peace, which you want to preserve so you can move it), add {{Db-author|rationale=Optional reason will be displayed in red}} to the main article page, inserting your rationale. Once this is done, you can move Islamic Peace, report the move to the AfD discussion page, and that hopefully should close the issue. RJC Talk 19:58, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] January 2008

Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Islamic Peace, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. RJC Talk 20:02, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Peace in the Qur'an

Hi Zikrullah,

Here is an academic source on the concept of peace in the Qur'an: [1]. You may want to create a section titled:"In the Qur'an"

When sourcing, please use the following citation: "Earle H. Waugh, Peace, Encyclopedia of the Qur'an

Good Luck!
