[edit] Parasite Eve II

Hi Zidane tribal! I came here in response to your comment on the Parasite Eve II talk page. I'm afraid I was one of those who rather harshly criticised the spelling and grammar... please accept my apologies if you were offended by my comments in any way. Checking the article history, you clearly put a lot of effort into expanding the original stub - I should have known better than to belittle your work. It also gave me the opportunity to edit my first ever Wikipedia article, so I owe you for that! Perdóneme por favor... EyeSereneTALK 22:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Contact Me

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Wikipedia and the fact that even the history of every edit is available publicly, I prefer not to give out contact information. Sorry, but I'm a little paranoid about that stuff sometimes. ^^; Anyhow, here's hoping that we don't end up butting heads, as it were, if we cross paths while editing. All the best! [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Illithid art.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Illithid art.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pak21 09:18, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

The same applies to Image:Otyugh art.jpg and many of the other images you have uploaded. Thanks --Pak21 09:11, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Masakazu Katsura.JPG

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Masakazu Katsura.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pak21 09:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:P.E. Boxart.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:P.E. Boxart.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 13:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia:Wikipediholism test, you will be blocked from editing. Excirial 16:55, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Response

[edit] Foreign song translation

3 things:

  1. "there is no consensus at WP:ALBUMS about foreign titles, but wikipedia as a whole encourages translations to be present for anything foreign, especially if you talk about it in the article. You can use the (tranlation) format to keep the list from bloating. Remember to source where you got the translations from (preferably not by yourself, as that's WP:OR, Original Research. Also, don't just copy paste from the first come website, as it is usually internet mass copy crap)
  2. I strongly encourage you to read at least Wikipedia:ALBUMS#Formatting and Wikipedia:ALBUMS#Track_listing for more info on how to write a song name, and how to write a track list. Remember:
    • The sections should be "Track listing", and not "Track Listing" or "Tracklisting".
    • A song name is "Between Double Quotes", not in italic.
  3. As a final note, remember that when you write something in italic, you have to close the formating by adding '' at the end. The only reason the track lists in your articles are showing properly, is because wikipedia is error tolerant, but you should not count on that.

Sorry to sound bitchy, but if I don't do it now, somebody else along the line will probably do it even harder. Disculpame tambien no hablarte en español, pero es que aun que lo hablo bien, todavia tengo problemas escribiendo correctamente. happypal (Talk | contribs) 14:11, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I looked over the new edits, and your doing things right ;). I saw from the user boxes that you joined the WikiProject. Good job.happypal (Talk | contribs) 01:36, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
The rule you are referring to is one that I don't particularly agree with, and is just a guideline anyways. Keep in mind that some words are thrown around as a general use. When it is written "Surname", it really should have been "Abbreviation of the artist's best known name" (for example, Madonna is ALWAYS credited as Madonna on wikipedia, never as Ciconne). So in your case, yeah, go ahead and use "Vicentico".
Also, keep in mind this guideline was written for hiphop/rap type albums, which require 2-6 different artist contributions per track! (see D12 World...) In your case though, since you say "He is the vocalist", then you might be better off doing somthing like:"All songs were written by Vicentico, except where noted.", or do it in a "Personnel" section.
Sorry not to give you an absolute answer, but in the end, every article is unique, and it's up to you to find the best solution...
