[edit] Jeffrey Paul Zweig II (Zicominc)
Director, Writer, Producer, and Actor for Zi-Com Productions aka ZiCom/ST Films.
[edit] Personal History
Born In Merrillville, Indiana on September 2nd 1985 to Jeff Sr. and Marilyn, the 2nd of two children. A product of the early A.D.D./A.D.H.A.D era. He was swept up in the early Ritilain crazy as a child until 2001 when after several attempts at changing the medication, he dropped it cold. "That was probably one of the worst periods of my life, those six to twelve months, not only because I was going through withdrawal of the meds, but with that came the task of actually trying to sort out myself socially and mentally without that dependency."
In middle school he joined the school Band and the school Jazz Band and continuously did community musical theater. In high school joined the Pirate News Network (P.N.N.), the in house production studio of the Merrillville High School as well as the Dramatic Society. This is where he also founded the beginnings of his production company Zi-Com Productions.
He attended Indiana University of Bloomington from 2004 to 2006 originally for Communications and Culture, then switched to Telecommunications before he transfered to Indiana State University of Terre Haute for Radio/TV/Film. He completed an internship with Escape Artists in L.A., California in the summer of 2007 and intends to graduate from Indiana State University in the summer or fall of 2008.
[edit] Plans After Graudation
Jeff has let known of a few options he has investigated,
"I'm definitely moving out of the state within those first six months... despite some protest from personal parties... it's time I got out there and dug my niche. I've got things I want to do, and unfortunately Indiana most likely will not offer what I seek..." "Texas.. i've got friends there, and they're going well..." "When i interned in Cali, i really enjoyed myself there. I felt good being there for a lot of reasons... plus I have family there who has some similar goals as I , so that will make things interesting..." "Before I move, I'm planning on spending about a month around Indiana, visiting with friends, mainly old ones that I've not gotten to see a whole lot recently. How much time spent on that depends on the school situation unfortunately, and if there's anything going on anywhere else that would require my immediate relocation..."
[edit] 2007 - Health Degradation
During the filming of "Felix and the Goon Squad" in the fall of 2007 he suffered many health problems from the stress of producing and filming the movie. From extreme exhaustion to extreme sleep deprivation. The most threatening news came when it was discovered his spine was bent from either the film's many physically intensive sequences or a car accident prior to filming. He reported alternating pain in his chest and back as well as labored breathing.
He eventually recovered from the condition and symptoms that followed after two months of chiropractic work.
[edit] 2008 - Weight Problems
After a severe bout with food poisoning, Jeff took the opportunity from having to alter his eating habits for a more proportionally correct diet combined with regular exercise after Felix wrapped. "It's time to get back to where I was before college... It was while producing Felix that I realized that I had really let myself go, and a lot of the work i put into myself in California was gone for the most part."
