Ziaur Rahman (Bengali: জিয়াউর রহমান) (born 1974) is a chess player from Bangladesh and the second Grandmaster of the country after Niaz Morshed
He graduated from Government Laboratory High School & University of Dhaka.
Zia holds the highest FIDE rating ever achieved by a Bangladeshi chess player (2570 at October 2005 FIDE rating list). Rahman earned the International Master (IM) title in 1993 and the GM title in 2002.
His playing style is solid positional.
