Zhucheng

Zhucheng (诸城) is a city of 1.06 million inhabitants located in the Chinese province of Shandong (山东). It belongs to the Weifang prefecture.

Originally known as Langya (琅琊), it was from here that Emperor Qin Shi Huang sent Xu Fu to sail to Japan in 210 BC, in pursuit of the elixir of youth.

It was also the birthplace of Mao Ze Dong's last wife and leader of the Gang of Four, Jiang Qing.
