[edit] ZSK a Chinese style?

In the seven years I've been training in ZSK, I've always been told it is a Chinese style. Mainly, the evidence for this is in its use of stances and the forms, which according to one of my instructors match those he saw on a trip to Beijing. However, currently ZSK is categorised as European/Hybrid, due to this discussion. While as I mentioned I would be happy to accept the Chinese categorisation bestowed by the founders, I'm not especially bothered about the nationality of ZSK. I personally see it effectively as kickboxing with traditional trimmings - however, feel free to put forward your arguments here. Slideyfoot 19:16, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
