Zhijiang Campus, Zhejiang University

Zhijiang Campus (Traditional Chinese: 之江校區, Simplified Chinese: 之江校区), is a campus of Zhejiang University, which is located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China.[1]

The campus is very famous for its natural beauty. It's located on riverside of the Qiantang River, and close to the Liuhe Pagoda. Previously it was the campus of the Hangchow University, currently it also holds the famous Hangchow University Historic Site, which is a famous National Historic Site & Cultural Heritage under State Protection (全國重點文物保護單位 / 全国重点文物保护单位) of China.

The campus was first constructed in 1897. Now it has a total area of 650 mu, and a total building area of 70,000 m2. The remainder of campus is covered with beautiful forests and hills. Currently it also holds the Guanghua Law School, and the Jame D. Watson Institute of Genome Sciences (WIGS).
