While waiting for the premises to be ready, the school was housed temporarily at Keming Primary School. The new premises were formally handed over on 4th November 1989 and the school moved in on 30th November 1989. The school fielded its first batch of PSLE candidates in 1990 and obtained an overall pass of 95.7%.

The school is in its nineteenth year of existence under the leadership of 3 principals – Mr Chan Kok Min, Mdm Lee Tee Choon and the current principal, Mr Koh Chin Thong. The enrolment of the school has been high and to date we have 2202 pupils in 62 classes.
