Zhang Liang (? - 184) was the brother to Zhang Jiao, leader of the Yellow Turban Rebellion against the Han Dynasty and also the younger brother of Zhang Bao. He was said to be an able general. It is said that Zhang Liang is the grandson of the founder of the Tianshi (Celestial Masters) Sect of Taoism, Zhang Daoling. In the novel, it is said that he went to the altar, and caused a 'rock attack' against the Han forces.
