"Zerbet" is the alias of a Johannesburg, South Africa, based journalist specialising in defence matters, military history and the SA National Defence Force (as well as its antecedents). "Zerbet" has been a student of military affairs forover 25 years and served as an infantry officer for five of those. This included a stint in the "operational area" of northern Southwest Africa, as it then was, with 101Bn.
