Zephyr - The Music of Elizabeth Henshaw

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zephyr was created by London-based composer and producer Elizabeth Henshaw [1] in 2001 and involves musicians from a variety of backgrounds. Two albums have been released by ORiGiN Music and a third is in the pipeline.

Elizabeth trained classically as a pianist and began writing at the age of seven. She developed a keen interest in the music of other cultures which has influenced her writing considerably. Elizabeth's music is recognised both for its melodic strength and its rhythmic and metric sophistication. [2]

Both albums became favourites on ABC Classic FM (Australia) [3]and have been used widely in Australian TV series' as well as continuing to feature on a number of international compilations.

Elizabeth has worked with EMI Classics UK, having her song 'Prayer' featured as the first track on Becky Jane Taylor's album 'By Your Side'.

In 2007 'Flame' was released in South East Asia, distributed by Universal.

All Zephyr tracks are available on iTunes internationally.
