[edit] Humor

While I would ordinarily frown upon the last two paragraphs of this article, I believe Wiki should occasionally provide some humorous relief to its readers... I won't be editing them for a while... Shim jb 07:27, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

While I like humour too, this is an encylopedia after all, and therefore I am reverting...again.

I do agree it was a bad miss by spider though, luckily it didn't cost us in the end :-) Teiresias84 07:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

At least one anon. user keeps adding a paragraph on Kalac's fumble, and i am sick and tired of reverting, so I have cleaned it up as best as I can but I still don't like it, but I am soooo sick of reverting. I will not be offended if anyone reverts to a version that doesn't have this paragraph at all. Teiresias84 12:11, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Here are some of those comments by the anons for those who are lazy:
He later conceded a relatively simple shot which came
close to ending the Socceroo's compaign. Coach Guus Hiddink was quoted as saying "oh god, oh god, why
the hell did I let that idiot on the field". Mark Schwarzer is better. Everyone knows that.

And the best of them all:

Became a joke after he let through an extremely easy save in when Australia played Croatia in the 2006
World Cup. "News from Germany that our goalkeeper, Zeljko Kalac, depressed at his goalkeeping
performance, threw himself in front of a bus outside the stadium after the game. Fortunately, the bus
slipped through his legs and he escaped unhurt."
Was successfully traded with Croatia for a donkey. The donkey was lovingly nicknamed "Milo" by his
colleagues and has been noted as "considerably more skilled at eating grass".

Sadly, the part about him becoming a joke is true - he's the most maligned sportsman in Australia since Mick Lewis. Rogerthat Talk 07:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

He playes for AC Milan you fool and he doesn't do drugs like AussiBall Rules players. Talk about bitter. --202.47.49.38 05:07, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why shouldn't information on the fumble be there?

It was very notable and arguably will hinder his international career. It's relevant information.

[edit] Leicester City

The infobox states 1 appearance for Leicester and the article says 3, which is correct. CorleoneSerpicoMontana 18:16, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Infobox is domestic league appearances only, of which he made only one. He second was in the cup and third (for about 20 seconds) was in playoffs. Tomperc 04:04, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
