ZEGG (band)

ZEGG is a Raleigh, North Carolina based jam band formed in 2004. Progressive, hypnotic, spontaneous, and sometimes quirky, ZEGG mixes jazz, rock, funk, reggae, bluegrass, and blues. ZEGG's influences include Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, The Allman Brothers, The Talking Heads, Phish, The Dave Matthews Band and others.
The name ZEGG is an acronym for Zero Excuses Get Groovin'.

- Shane Bullis (bass, vocals)
- "Bongo" John Metcalf (percussion, assorted chants and sundry hoots)
Original bassist Sebastien Guyader left the band in 2006 to pursue a career in the French Caribbean.
