Zedbazi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zedbazi are a Persian/Iranian Rap group currently based in London, England, currently consisting of members Mehrad Hidden, Saman Wilson and Sohrab MJ (Master-Joint), alongside frequent collabarators Alireza JJ and Sijal. They are one of the most famous Persian Rap and Hip Hop artists. Their songs usually talk about controversial issues faced in Iran such as sex and drugs while residing in Tehran[1]. Mehrad Hidden and Saman Wilson first met whilst they were in High School in Iran, and later befriended Sohrab MJ in a party. On their official MySpace page they claim that their 2006 song Berim Fazaa has been downloaded over 8 million times. The group are currently in an ongoing rap war with fellow Iranian rappers Hichkas and Pishro, and their group 021, culminating in Zedbazi's diss track about 021's lack of party songs and Hichkas's reply to that Manam Hamintor (Same Here).
