Zece Prăjini

Zece Prăjini is a village in the commune of Dagâţa, Iaşi County, Romania.[1] It has a population of 400.[2]

The Roma brass band Fanfare Ciocărlia work from Zece Prăjini. Romanians adapted brass music after it became popular in Germany and Austria in the 19th century. Previously the Ottoman Empire had introduced the music which they used to impress enemies by walking and playing in front of the first line of soldiers.[2] (See Mehter)
