Zeca Scheffer

Zeca Scheffer (-2006) was a Brazilian big wave surfer and water rescue specialist who is credited to have introduced several southern Brazilian off-shore point breaks to the international big surf community. He pioneered the Tow-in surfing technique in Brazil in places like Ilha dos Lobos. Zeca Scheffer died on a car crash in December 2006 while driving from Garopaba to Florianópolis at the dangerous BR101 road.
