The zebra top shell, Austrocochlea porcata, is a medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails or top shells.

This species is very common in south-eastern Australia, and its complete range extends from Townsville in Queensland around southern shores to Geraldton in Western Australia.
[edit] Shell description
Zebra top shells have a black-and-white banded pattern overlying a light grey to white shell. The shell of this species is very similar to the southern ribbed top shell, Austrocochlea constricta, and until recently the two species were considered to be identical.
The shell is 25 mm in width.
