Zebrapix (born 1970) is the handle for American author Jay Smith, best known for the novel Blue Collar Gods, Rise of the Monkey Lord and producer of the film The Revenge of Ringo. He is a regular panel participant at the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society convention, called Philcon.

He was born in 1970 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the youngest of five children to. Smith attended Millersville University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and then Penn State Harrisburg in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, initially studying communications, journalism, secondary education and comparative literature.

His first novel, Rise of the Monkey Lord, was published in 2004 as an ebook and through direct order from ZebraPix Books. Since then, Smith has worked in the public sector, earning money through side projects, web design and consultation.

Smith is married and has four children.
