Zeacumantus subcarinatus is a species of small sea snail or mud snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Potamididae, the horn snails.

This species is endemic to New Zealand, found in the Chatham Islands, the North Island, and the northern half of the South Island.

This snail is very common on muddy intertidal rocks which remain damp at low tide.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is smaller than its relative Zeacumantus lutulentus, with sculpturing of closely spaced broad axial folds crossed by deep spiral grooves that cut the axials into three spiral rows of squarish nodes. On the base there are three strong smooth spiral cords.
The shell coloration is uniformly brownish-black.
The shell height is up to 16 mm, and width up to 6 mm.
