Gaman að heyra í þér, einmitt ekki margir hérna, ég er nú ekki jafn virkur hérna og ég var áður (er aðallega að dunda mér við að skrifa MediaWiki hugbúnaðin sem heldur víst þessari alfræðiorðabók saman) en ef ég geri einhverjar rassíur hérna er það aðallega á íslensku útgáfunni (sem vantar b.t.w. heimspeki og tölvuöryggisgreinar svona ef þú hefur áhuga:) —Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 23:48, 2005 Jun 24 (UTC)
[edit] "(We don't need EVERY detail about his family tree, okay?)"
Hello Zarutian: I am almost in an editing war regarding an article [that I did not write] about Einar H. Kvaran. The last edit came with the comment "(We don't need EVERY detail about his family tree, okay?)" I figured that if every Icelander on wikipedia suggested that in fact we do need every detail - or at least a lot of them - then perhaps this person would back off a bit. If you go to the article and look at the history you will pick up the thread. [edit] Speedy deletion of Delta Tao
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Re: Delta Tao
I deleted Delta Tao under WP:CSD#R1: it was a broken redirect. It redirected to Delta Tao Software, which was deleted by another administrator. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:17, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- I thought it was in the policy of deleting pages to also delete all redirects to it to prevent fubars such as this one Zarutian (talk) 00:23, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Delta Tao
A tag has been placed on Delta Tao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. [edit] Incremental persistence
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Incremental persistence, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] March 2008
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, you will be blocked from editing. Jaysweet (talk) 15:36, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh lovely --Zarutian (talk) 15:44, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't make the rules any more than you do. It baffles my mind that people show up to a website with millions of users and well-established rules, and when they realize they don't like the rules, instead of finding a different website that they like, they instead think they can dictate the rules for the existing website. Blows my mind. Anyway, if you continue to place inappropriate speedy-delete tags on articles, you will end up getting blocked. That is reality, my friend. If you don't like it, I don't know what to tell you. --Jaysweet (talk) 15:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have been an, imo, pretty good contributer to Wikipedia before these, imnho, asine policies were put in place by, imnho, busybodies --Zarutian (talk) 15:56, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
-
- Perhaps that is the case. Anyway, before continuing with your present course of action, you may want to read WP:POINT. If you want to make a change, this is exactly the wrong way to make it happen.
- (P.S. Oops, you have already been blocked. Well, hopefully you will calm down when you come back and can continue to be a productive contributor. Again, please review WP:POINT. Your method of going about protesting the speedy-delete policies is about the most ineffectual way to make it happen. --Jaysweet (talk) 15:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
This'll be your only warning. Stop removing csd templates without reason. Don't disrupt the wiki just to prove a point. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 15:52, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- You don't seem like a bad editor. Just don't let the wikistress get to you. Stay cool, so to speak. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 16:05, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
