Hello everybody! I'm willing to discuss nearly anything with you, provided it is constructive or informative. You can look at my beliefs on my user page, and I'll discuss any of those with you constructively if you want. You are not required to make your messages compact. Make em as long as you want ( no spamming though, thank you) Im a fast reader, and I enjoy it.

Welcome!
Hello, Zantaggerung, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Gnixon 13:18, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Evolution statements
Hi, Zantaggerung. Thanks for your message at my talk page. I responded to it there, as is traditional. While our discussion is ongoing, you might want to add my talk page to your watchlist so you can see when I respond. You can always take it off your watchlist when you get tired of seeing my updates! Alternatively, since I'm watching this page for now, you could respond below, placing a colon at the beginning to indent your response. Or, you could start a new topic below here by placing two "equals" signs on either side of a subject heading. Thanks for joining the army of editors at the Evolution article. Gnixon 13:15, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] How to's
(moved from User_talk:Gnixon)
Help!
How do you: Send someone a message like you sent me one? Start a talk page? Go to a user's page without clicking on his name after one of his posts?
Zantaggerung 16:19, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- To leave a message to a user simply go on their user talk page and click +, type a header and your comment below, sing with ~~~~ and click save page and then the user who you sent the message to will see the You have new messages (last change) bar and they will either reply on your talk page in the same format or on their talk page. Hope this helps!! Tellyaddict 16:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Thanks for that but now I have another question:
- How do I go to someones talkpage? I only get to this one by clicking on Gnixon's name in the evolution article. Zantaggerung 17:19, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Well, you could change the address bar to end in User_talk:Gnixon, but I usually just find a link somewhere like you did. By the way, it's usually easier to follow discussions if you indent your replies to others using colons (:). Gnixon 12:37, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- As for starting talk pages, you can always get to an article's (or user's) talk page by clicking on the "discussion" tab at the top. If a talk page or any other page on Wikipedia doesn't exist yet, when you try to go there you'll automatically be taken to the editing page, where you can create it. Gnixon 12:37, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

- In response, I use a status template made by User:Nishkid64, if I am online I type: {{User:Nishkid64/StatusChange2|OMG}} into the top of my userpage, if I am offline and wanted it to display that I would type: {{User:Nishkid64/StatusChange2|OMG2}} and if I was busy and wanted to display that I would type: {{User:Nishkid64/StatusChange2|OMG3}}. Hope this helps! Tellyaddict 16:02, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, its appreciated! Tellyaddict 16:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'll answer your question shortly but I have some work to do about comments left at WP:ANI and I need to help resolve that, it'll take a while, I will answer shortly.Tellyaddict 16:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Debating religion
This rather large section posted by user:Stormrider has been deleted to save space, the discussion is believed to be over by... well me! If you disagree, Stormrider, you can always copy and paste from history. Zantaggerung 17:29, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Editors have a high degree of liberty to edit their own page; however, that liberty ends with warnings and the like. In addition, when a page gets too long and editor can "archive" the older portion. It is always better to archive rather than to simply delete. You may want to check out how to archive a talk page. Good luck as an editor of Wikipedia. --Storm Rider (talk) 16:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! Baccyak4H (Yak!) 19:57, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- no prob, it's an oversight that we've all done before. Thanks for the smile too. ;-) Baccyak4H (Yak!) 17:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Usertalk pages not for polls
Your talk page isn't a place to host polls. I've moved it to User:Zantaggerung/Poll, and formatted it a bit. Thanks. --Deskana (ya rly) 16:30, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- And I have moved the poll to the article talk page where polls belong: Talk:Christianity#Vote Str1977 (smile back) 16:43, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia
I'd like you to remember that the purpose of Wikipedia is the encyclopedia, and that while a bit of fun and games is encouraged, I ask kindly that you edit encyclopedia articles rather than restricting yourself to namespaces such as User talk, User, and Wikipedia. Thank you. --Deskana (ya rly) 16:30, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, you'll tend to find me popping up out of nowhere. A user once commented on how I seem to not be online then as soon as there's trouble, it's Deskana to the rescue! I'll be hovering around if you need me ;-) --Deskana (ya rly) 02:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- You'll have more luck looking for a specific user to adopt you, not everyone wanders around reading Wikipedia like I do ;-) --Deskana (ya rly) 02:57, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- What do you mean, something like a list of userboxes? --Deskana (ya rly) 03:03, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, and you want a list of them to choose from? Take a look at Wikipedia:Userboxes. --Deskana (ya rly) 03:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Your wishes, answered! Look at Wikipedia:Userboxes#Gallery. Premade userboxes galore! --Deskana (ya rly) 03:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm going to bed, it's 4:34am here now. Have fun with your userboxes. --Deskana (ya rly) 03:34, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Adoption
I am not listed in the adopt-a-user program, but if you are still looking for some help I would be glad to mentor you as a wikipedia editor. I have over 5K edits, and have been here about 6 months. Right now my time for editing is a little spotty, because of the season of the year. But I would be happy to help as much as I am able. -- Pastordavid 14:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Let's start with this. Once we get some of the basics down, we will move on to specific questions. -- Pastordavid 14:54, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- I have replied. Also, if it is alright with you, I will change your userpage to show that you have been adopted. -- Pastordavid 15:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- FYI, task two. -- Pastordavid 15:39, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Z, edits such as this are not particularly helpful. You asked your question, and people replied ... and not only did they reply, they said that the question is not helpful. At that point, it usually best to drop it ... whatever the point you are trying to make, it does not seem to have consensus on the talk page. Please reconsider your approach.
Comments on a talk page should go at the bottom of the thread on the topic in question, should always be signed, and each succeeding comment should be indented by putting a colon : at the start of the paragraph. -- Pastordavid 15:47, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, its what I'm here for. Also, if you don't have it watchlisted (or don't yet know how to watchlist), I have replied. -- Pastordavid 15:57, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- I have added it to my watchlist, but it doesn't seem to notify me if its altered.
Zantaggerung 16:01, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Your user talk page is the only one that gives you a banner to notify you. Other talk pages show up when you click "My Watchlist" on the top right of your screen. That will then show you the latest changes to articles that you are watching. -- Pastordavid 16:15, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. I am logging off now, because someone else need to use this computer console. I may be back on soon. Zantaggerung 16:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Userboxes
I have posted some instructions to help you with your userboxes. -- Pastordavid 16:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Abortion debate
I saw your recent comments at Talk:Abortion debate and wanted to remind you that talk pages are for discussing improvements to article content. They are not a message board, forum, or place to debate issues. Mentioning your belief about other "idiot views" is not helpful when it comes to improving article content. Thanks for keeping this in mind.-Andrew c 04:02, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Regarding this edit ("I'm sorry if I've got the wrong person to laugh at"), while we invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, we remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Please remain civil in discussion. Thank you. · j e r s y k o talk · 12:46, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP Christianity
Hi, I saw your name on the WikiProject Christianity Membership page.
I've made some changes to the WP Christianity main project page, added several sup-project pages, created a few task forces section, and proposed several more possible changes so that we can really start making some serious progress on the project. Please stop by and see my comments on the project talk page here and consider joining a task force or helping out with improving and contributing to our sub-projects. Thanks for your time! [edit] June 2007 Wikiproject Christianity Newsletter
The Christianity WikiProject Newsletter
Volume I, no. 1 - June 2007
|
- Project News
- Four articles are at FA level and sixteen are GA level articles. You can help by adopting a topic.
- There is a lot of work for this Wikiproject. Go to tasks to find out how to help.
- There are currently five article being peer reviewed by the peer review team. Please stop by and see if there is any way that you could contribute to those articles.
- It has been proposed by John Carter that the various other projects which relate to Christianity ought to all at least tag those articles which fall within their scope. That way, this project would have a better idea which articles do not fall within the specific scope of any of the other related projects. Articles can be "tagged" by placing {{ChristianityWikiProject}} in the articles talk page.

[edit] A simple reply
Hi mate, thought I should reply. Firstly let me explain, I am gay. Sexuality is not something one can change, it is neither a choice i have made. However a choice i have made is to receive Christ as my Saviour, another choice i have made is to be abstinent until marriage, which will never happen because of my sexuality and the way God views marriage as between one man and one woman. Therefore i am celibate. I DO support the gay community, only in the hope that i will one day see them being saved. Have I satisfied your comment? Do reply.
P.S James 5:9 "Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!"

- Project News
- WikiProject Christianity Coordinators : The project coordinators are generally responsible for maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project, and serve as the designated points-of-contact for procedural issues. They are not, however, endowed with any special executive powers, nor with any authority over article content or editor conduct. The Lead Coordinator bears overall responsibility for coordinating the project; the Assistant Coordinators aid the Lead Coordinator and focus on specific areas that require special attention.
- The nomination period for coordinators is currently ongoing at Election 2008
- Nominations for open positions will be open through 23:59 (UTC) on April 30 and project members should vote for any candidates they support by April 11 2008.
- The election will be conducted using simple approval voting. Any member of the project may support as many of the candidates as they wish. The candidate with the highest number of endorsements will become the Lead Coordinator (provided he or she is willing to assume the post); the next four candidates will become Coordinators.
- Two new workgroups formed - Indian Christianity and Methodism

Welcome to the Sixth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.
Luckily, you all won't have to see my comments very often, as very little I have to say is really that important. But I would like to take the opportunity to say that I hope everyone finds the new General Forum page useful for discussing ideas relevant to Christianity in general, and feels free to make any additional comments regarding general Christianity there. Also, if any of you feel that you want to place a comment here in the future, please let us know what you want included. We would encourage all members to get more involved and if you are wondering what with, please ask. Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.
John Carter (talk), Lead Coordinator
