Zalmay A. Gulzad

Prof. Dr. Zalmay A. Gulzad was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and earned his Ph.D. in History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has lectured extensively in modern Central Asian and Middle Eastern studies and is currently researching for a monograph on current Afghan politics. Gulzad is also the author of a textbook titled, "External Influences and the Development of the Afghan State in the Nineteenth Century".
