Zakouski is a ballet made by Peter Martins, New York City Ballet's ballet master in chief to: Vocalise (Rachmaninoff), Op. 34, No. 14 (1915) by Sergei Rachmaninoff, "Parasha's Song" from the opera Mavra (1921-1922) by Igor Stravinsky, Cinq Melodies (Fourth Melody) (1920) by Sergei Prokofiev and Valse-Scherzo, Op. 34 (1877) by Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky. The premiere took place November 17, 1992, at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.
