Zakiah - pronounced as zakya -- can be spelled differently - Zakiya, Zakya, Zakia. The original meaning of Zakiah in Hebrew[1] and Arabic is pure, chaste. It usually refers to a holy woman. It is a very rare and distinctive name. It can also mean intelligent in terms knowing what you are doing, being confident and independent. It has come from the Afghan language. Afghan children are considered lucky to have this name, because of its meaning.
