Zajil

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zajil (Arabic: زاجل‎, transliteration: Zājel) is an Internet Service Provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Zajil’s parent company, Gulfnet KSA, an Internet Technology company, is headquartered in Riyadh. The company started its business in 1989 to provide data communications network solutions in the area.

Zajil was the first to establish an online email facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. When Internet services were introduced in Saudi Arabia, it expanded its network and became an Internet service provider.

[edit] Quality of Service:

Due to Zajil's initial growth, the company has had little time to refine the internet service it provides and has thus come under scrutiny from the public. Whereas other internet service providers in Saudi Arabia have developed faster connections with unrestricted bandwidth, Zajil still imposes a bandwidth cap of around 1GB. Furthermore, its telephone based help service has been described as 'lacklustre' and 'unhelpful' as members of the help team are often unavailable and un-cooperative.
