User:ZAgadka

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zagadka is "enigma" in Russian; an enigmatic entry for a user whose tongue is glued to his cheek--metaphorically. See thenote at the end of this entry.

Honestly, there's not a lot to say which isn't self-aggrandizing. I'm pretty much like most other nerds out there: I'm into math (cellular automata and related systems, non-Euclidean geometry, game theory, etc.), physics (astro-, theoretical-, and particle-), linguistics, etc.; I have a knee-jerk reactionary to various colloquialisms, but also a juxtaposed contrary reaction to sticklers. Yes, I like Monty Python, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and Robert Forward.

While a surprising portion of nerds enjoy punk, metal, reggae, and classical music... most of them have never had blue hair or mohawks. I'd go off on a tangent about a swinging lifestyle as opposed to polyamorism, but that might be just a tad crass... oops, wait a second: I think that I just did. Everyone's got a surprise or two up their sleeves, eh?

I go to the gym three times per week; I've got a high-brown belt (or dark blue, or purple, depending upon which color sequence Master Ahn used over a short period of time) in tae kwon do, and have studied some aikijitsu, judo, shaolin, and something else the name of which I don't remember; I'm an expert shot with the M-16; I could go on, but can't everyone?

Make of life what you will, carpe diem!

NOTE: This is the ZAgadka entry, not Zagadka; the capitalised second letter differentiates my account from someone with a similar name. This wasn't intended to encroach upon another's user logon name, only to maintain an online identity which I have used since approximately 1998. I am the same individual as Zagadka on Wiktionary, but not the Zagadka of Wikipedia.
