Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragon Metropolitan (born on August 29, 1938) is the Metropolitan of the Marthoma Church.
After graduation, he went to work as a teacher in a high school in Kerala. Later he went to Jabalpur for theological studies. After his many years of working as a teacher, he went to the United States to continue his theological training at Princeton University, where he took D.L.M. After that he worked as the vicar of parishes and congregations in Mumbai and Kozhencherry. Later he was consecrated as an episcopa (bishop) of the Mar Thoma Church on May 1, 1980. He was given to oversee the Adoor-Mavelikara Diocese. At this time he created a special project to help disabled people in Kerala, and also set up a project to help poor people in the coastal town of Thrikkunnapuzha, Kerala. He is currently in charge of the Chengannur-Mavelikara Diocese, and is a member of the executive committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC).
