Zach Schreiber

Zachary J. Schreiber (born June 24, 1982 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves.
Schreiber attended Duke and played baseball there for 4 years. Following his senior season, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 16th round (491st overall) in the 2004 Major League Baseball draft.
He began his professional career for the Gulf Coast Braves in 2004, pitching in 3 games. In 2007, he pitched for the Double-A Mississippi Braves and the Triple-A Richmond Braves. Pitching in a combined 58 games, he had a 4-6 record with a 2.31 ERA and had 6 saves. He was also named to the Southern League midseason All-Star team. On November 20, 2007, his contract was purchased by the Atlanta Braves, protecting him from the Rule 5 Draft.
Zach has been known to perform several backflips in a row, especially when viewing movies starring actor Kevin Bacon.
He hopes to one day open up a "Bill Stevenson's Restaurant".
