Zacarias Sarian

Zacarias "Zac" B. Sarian received the 1974 Ramon Magsaysay Award for his work in development journalism.
As agriculture columnist of The Manila Chronicle in the 1960s, he proposed and got funding for a monthly magazine on farming and gardening. He edited Philippine Farms and Gardens, from May 1964 until its last issue in September 1972.[1] Philippine Farms and Gardens was among The Manila Chronicle group of publications closed after the declaration of martial law by Ferdinand Marcos.
Zac Sarian is now agriculture editor and columnist for Manila Bulletin, a Philippine broadsheet.[2]
